Assembled from a reserve of barrel aged wines from various vintages, Wise Old Tawny is a mostly Grenache fortified wine with smaller components of Shiraz, Red Frontignac and Verdelho, in roughly equal measure. The historic cellars where the wine is aged were originally constructed with redgum members and limestone blocks. Today the cellar still houses a massive redgum lever press which fifth generation winemaker, Michael Potts uses to make his small batch wines. Though steeped in history, Bleasdale has installed the latest winemaking technology to retain the best qualities of matured reserve wines, whilst delivering to the connoisseur an authentic Fine Old Tawny of consistency and value. Alcohol 18.5%

The wine is deep and rich, the alcohol soothing and suitably attired, flavoursome and beautifully focused, the tannins whisper past with a sigh of relief at being unnoticed.

The Gapsted team live and work in the heart of the King and Alpine Valleys of Victoria’s high country. The vibrant Alpine fruit characters of Traminer are a result of cool breezes and snow run off in spring, which provides abundant clear, fresh water to the Whitlands vineyard. The cool ripening conditions prevent high levels of transpiration, allowing the Traminer to retain natural acids, sugars and lifted fruit flavours. A very slow, and cold controlled ferment at seven degrees for five weeks, ensured retains fresh crisp varietal characters. Fermentation is stopped at six degrees of baume by chilling the wine and fining. Some naturally occurring CO2 is retained in the wine for a light frizzante style. Alcohol 6.5%

The mature Lily Farm vines yield Frontignac grapes with heightened flavour profiles and varietal character. Grapes are hand picked at healthy baumes, just short of their ripening potential, capturing a good measure of natural acidity to balance the sweetness of fruit. Following the crush, only the free run juices are retained to ensure a wine of maximum freshness and delicacy. Juices are cold settled and chilled over forty eight hours prior to racking and inoculation. Fermentations are stopped and yeast lees removed when the wine has reached the desired level of sweetness. This achieves a long crisp finish, which Grant Burge believes is the most important feature of the style.

Pale gold in colour. Striking varietal aromas of musk and blossoms, citrus and rosewater. This delicate wine is slightly sweet, offering fruity flavours of lemon and limes, the palate is mouthfilling with delicious citrus sweetness, balanced perfectly by fine natural acidity and a cleansing, refreshing finish which makes it extremely more-ish.

Frontignac grapes are harvested at a minimum 14° baume of sugar ripeness, crushed into open fermenters and partially fermented on skins for a week and more to extract maximum colour and flavour. This gradual fortification of around two per cent alcohol per addition helps control fermentation and ensures seamless wine and fortification integration. To control the development of aged rancio characters and to keep the flavours fresh and balanced, batches are matured in larger oak barrels than those used for tawny ports, well seasoned oak, at least ten years of age. This allows the wine to slowly develop complexity without obvious oak flavours and characters. The final blend is cold stabilised and filtered prior to bottling.

Dark tobacco hues. Floral rose petal, caramel and allsorts, sticky date and complex fruit notes. Smooth and rich palate, developed Frontignac fruit notes, concentrated raisins, a considerable lusciousness from, mellow sweetness and intensity. A rich and luscious raisined palate with a silky smooth finish, Hanwood appeals to all wine enthusiasts because of its fresh fruit flavours. An astonishingly suitable accompaniement to many cuisines.

Torbreck's owner operator David Powell has always been a huge fan of France's Muscat Beaumes de Venise. Muscat à Petits Grains (Brown Frontignac) grapes are harvested from Helbig Vineyard at Marananga in several stages to acheive different levels of ripeness, creating a myriad of potential flavours. Grapes are gently crushed and pressed with as little skin contact as possible to minimize phenolics. Fruit is treated to a slow vinification in fermenters, halted mid way by the addition of a neutral spirit to arrest yeasts against further acivity and raise alcohol level to around fourteen percent, retaining Brown Frontignac's natural sweetness.

A vibrant, straw/ peach yellow colour. Beautifully fragrant aromas of fresh pine/ lime, melon and lychees are accompanied by extraordinary floral notes. The subtle, clean flavours of lemon sorbet, lemon tart and orange rind balance perfectly with the residual sugar to achieve a full, lush, round palate. A sweet but substantial wine, equally enjoyable as aperitif or dessert.
