Bushmills 16 Year Irish Single Malt Whiskey 700ml
Bushmills is an ancient distillery with roots a thousand years old and maybe even more. The army of Henry II loved to drink Bushmills but it was not until 1608 that the distillery became officially licensed and recognized by King James I, and not until 1784 that it was registered as a company. The Irish diaspora carried the traditions of Bushmills to America and the new world, as did Bushmills victories at international spirit and whiskey competitions. The Old Bushmills Distillery, a world heritage site, is Ireland's oldest working distillery.

At one time there were many hundreds of different Irish whiskeys. Over the years these have disappeared. Only Bushmills, the oldest and a handful of others have remained which is why Bushmills is oldest because it is the best, not best because it is oldest. Another unique aspect of the Old Bushmills Distillery is that malt distilling, blending, maturation and bottling are all carried out on the same site

Canadian Club 12 Year Old Classic 700ml
Available in cartons of six
A Massachusetts grocer named Hiram Walker set up business in Windsor Ontario. He took up the challenge of making Whisky after his original passion for home made cider vinegar production failed to return a profit. Hiram's loss was very much the world's gain. He produced his first barrels of Whisky in 1854, they were an immediate hit with customers. Never one to miss the main chance, he bought two farm lots up the river from Windsor and built a Whisky Distillery. CC, the first Canadian Whisky to have a brand name and to be sold in sealed bottles, was born.

A popular success in gentleman's clubs, Club Whiskey soon threatened to put American distillers out of business. In an attempt to slow Hiram down they forced through a law that required he put the word Canadian before Club on his bottles. Their cunning plot failed because the new name Canadian Club, had a certain cachet. It became more popular than ever in the US and around the world. Ironically, it was during the riotous days of prohibition,1919–1932, that sales really exploded, as most of all the Whisky smuggled into the US by gangsters came from Canada. CC still make a smooth, pure Whisky exactly as Hiram Walker did in the 1850s, using the finest ingredients, barrel blending and lots of patience.
